We often hear that great things happen when communities come together with a common purpose, and our recent beach and reef cleaning day in Khao Lak exemplified this truth. On October 30th, 2023, over 100 people joined hands to make a difference in our local environment. In just 4 hours, we collected approximately 200-300 bags of trash, leaving our beautiful shores cleaner and healthier.
This remarkable event was made possible by the collective efforts of numerous individuals, local communities, and generous organizations. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this initiative.
All The Local Villagers
Our local heroes, the villagers, donated their time and boats, showing unwavering dedication to the cause. Their support was instrumental in the event’s smooth execution.
The FED Foundation’s support went beyond monetary contributions. They provided funds for fuel and provided more than 20 dedicated volunteers, each of whom played a crucial role in the cleanup.
We would like to express our deep appreciation for generously providing us with the support of their longtail boat and their dedicated staff. Their involvement added significant value to the cleaning efforts.
We are immensely grateful for the park’s rangers who joined us in cleaning and also facilitated the proper recycling and disposal of the collected trash.
Their active participation and the wonderful lunch they provided were heartwarming. We extend our gratitude to the Phang Nga TAT for supporting the meal, making it a special part of the day.
Their support, including the use of their pier facilities, a longtail boat, and the dedication of their team members, was invaluable in the event’s success.
Their generous donations for fuel and supplies were vital in ensuring that we had the resources needed to make a significant impact.
Not only did they help with monetary donations that were key to helping this event happen, the owners daughter even came to help on the beach.
In addition to these organizations, we also received cash donations from several other kind-hearted individuals who believe in our mission and wanted to contribute to the cause.
